At Innsworth Infant School, we want every child to develop a sense of awe and wonder about the world around them. Our science curriculum encourages children to be curious, to ask questions and to explore new ideas with growing confidence.
Children learn through hands‑on experiences that help them make meaningful connections. We use scientific equipment, along with age-appropriate investigations and class exploration to support learning, and we make the most of our school grounds and local area whenever we can. These real‑life experiences help children deepen their understanding and enjoy discovering more about their world.
We introduce children to different types of scientific enquiry and support them in finding their own answers. Working together is an important part of our approach, helping pupils build communication skills, teamwork and resilience as they learn and explore as part of our caring school community.
